Deploying with Docker

How we use Docker containers to deploy and scale our applications.

We use Docker containers for our server architecture to facilitate updates and scaling of our application as needed. This enables us to easily manage and deploy our application in various environments.

Docker Folder Structure

Inside each of our projects, the Docker configuration is placed in the Docker folder.

Docker/
Config/ # Virtual host configurations are placed in this folder
Services/ # Service configurations that will run in Docker, such as supervisord, are place in this folder. You can add or modify these services as needed.
Dockerfile # Docker can build images automatically by reading the instructions from a Dockerfile. A Dockerfile is a text document that contains all the commands a user could call on the command line to assemble an image.
.dockerignore # Using this file, you can specify ignore rules and exceptions from these rules for files and folders that won't be included in the build context and thus won't be packed into an archive and uploaded to the Docker server.
